Music & Entertainment
Marja
About this chapter
Music is among the issues where contemporary Maraji differ in detail — some hold a blanket prohibition; others restrict the ruling to 'lahw' (entertainment/dance-inducing) music while permitting other forms.
Each Marja's Tawdih al-Masail addresses the question independently; following one's own Marja's ruling (taqlid) is required.
