Iranian President: People's Resilience Foiled Enemy Plots

In a televised address to the nation on Wednesday evening, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the enemies had sought to replicate the fate of Syria for Iran through wars and sanctions, but their efforts failed due to the people's vigilance and cooperation with the government.

Pezeshkian emphasized that "Iranian people's resilience and resolve have foiled enemies' plots." He further stated that "Unity among Iranians remains the primary factor in standing firm against the enemies." According to the president, "the enemies are opposed to any sign of independence or progress by Iranian people."

The president also paid tribute to the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, saying that he used to support his administration. "We couldn't have advanced this far had it not been for martyred Leader's support," Pezeshkian said.

The speech comes amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States and Israel, with threats of military action and economic sanctions. The Strait of Hormuz has been a focal point of these tensions, as Iran has previously threatened to close it in response to aggression.

According to Mehr News, the president's remarks underscore the government's view that domestic unity and resilience are key to countering external pressures. The report added that the enemies' attempts to destabilize Iran have been consistently thwarted by the people's steadfastness.
