Yemen Downs Saudi Spy Drone Over Saada Province

Yemeni Armed Forces shot down a Saudi spy drone over the northern province of Saada early Wednesday, military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced.

Saree stated that the drone was downed with "appropriate weapons" over Yemeni airspace. He emphasized that the armed forces continue to defend the country's sovereignty and that responding to any aggression is their legitimate right.

The downing of the drone follows a statement by Saree on Tuesday, in which he said Yemeni forces had struck the Saudi tanker NCC Ghazal with several ballistic missiles for violating a naval blockade imposed against Saudi Arabia.

According to the report by Mehr News, the incident is part of ongoing tensions between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, with Yemeni forces frequently targeting Saudi assets in response to the Saudi-led coalition's military operations in Yemen.
