Witkoff, Kushner to meet Qatari PM over Iran deal in Doha

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, are scheduled to meet Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Doha on Tuesday to discuss the Iran nuclear deal. The meeting was announced by Barak Ravid, a reporter with Axios, citing White House sources.

The US-Qatari meeting is part of ongoing Doha consultations between Washington and Tehran. Witkoff and Kushner also plan to meet other officials during their visit. On Wednesday, US and Iranian negotiators will hold separate meetings with Qatari and Pakistani mediators, according to Ravid.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei stated that an Iranian delegation would travel to Qatar soon for consultations on the US-Iranian memorandum. However, he emphasized that no meetings or negotiations with US representatives are planned.

According to the report by Mehr News, the discussions come amid ongoing efforts to address the Iran nuclear deal, with Qatar and Pakistan acting as intermediaries between the two sides.
