Mohammad Mokhber, an advisor and aide to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, has responded to public anger and protests in several European countries and to remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron linking the current crises in Paris to the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on X, Mokhber wrote that during the period when former US President Donald Trump was aggressively targeting the Islamic Republic, Europe sowed the wind through its actions within the framework of NATO cooperation, and today it is harvesting a self-inflicted storm in the form of economic and social crises.
Mokhber also emphasized that the consequences of an ill-advised war by the United States and Israel against Iran would be global. His comments come amid ongoing public unrest in parts of Europe and heightened tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway for global energy supplies.
The statement reflects Iran's position that European countries' alignment with US policies, including through NATO, has contributed to current regional and global instability. Mokhber's remarks were reported by Mehr News Agency.
