Iranian Security Official Warns Trump to Watch His Language

The top Iranian security official, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, issued a sharp warning to US President Donald Trump on Monday, telling him to watch his language when addressing the Iranian people.

In a post on his X account (formerly Twitter) in Farsi, Zolghadr, who serves as the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), responded to Trump's earlier threats against Iran. He wrote: "To the delusional American president who has threatened 91 million Iranians today, I would say: Previously, as the president of a rootless country with a 250-year history, you spoke in similar language about the destruction of Iran's thousands of years of civilization, and the result for you was nothing but defeat and despair, and a request for negotiations and a ceasefire! Iranians are not used to the language of intimidation."

Zolghadr added: "So speak to the Iranian people with respect, otherwise we will respond to you in a different way."

Earlier on Monday, at the White House, Trump once again threatened the Iranian nation with destroying their energy infrastructure. The remarks were part of an ongoing escalation of rhetoric between the two countries.

According to Mehr News, the exchange highlights the continued tensions between Iran and the United States, with Iranian officials consistently rejecting what they perceive as threats from the US administration. The SNSC is a key body in Iran's national security decision-making, and Zolghadr's comments reflect the official stance of the Iranian government.
