Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, the spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said in a post on his X account on Sunday that the cost of deploying a new group to the battlefield, combined with rising prices in the United States and a new drawdown from oil reserves, raises the question of whether the US war is with Iran or with the American people.
Mohebbi had previously issued a warning to US President Donald Trump on October 3, stating that Trump must learn lessons from the war with Iran and accept Tehran's terms and conditions. He said that Trump achieved none of his goals in the war with Iran and suffered numerous economic and political woes.
The IRGC spokesman urged Trump to learn from his war experiences and accept Iran's terms and conditions. The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran.
According to Mehr News, the IRGC spokesman's comments reflect Iran's position on the economic and political consequences of the conflict.
