Iran Defense Ministry Says War Taught Lessons for Future Threats

Iran's acting defense minister, General Ibn al-Reza, said on Wednesday that the experience of war had taught Iran important lessons about preparing for future threats. Speaking at a ceremony marking the opening of schools in Iran, he emphasized the need for continuous learning and innovation.

"The experience of war reminded us that we must always learn, innovate, improve ourselves and prepare for future threats, but there is an even more important point: We should not simply wait for the future to arrive; we must envision it, nurture it and build it," he said.

The ceremony was held at a school in Tehran's Shahid Chamran residential complex to mark the start of the new school year. General Ibn al-Reza added that building the future begins today, stressing the need for creative minds capable of finding new solutions to emerging challenges.

The remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions and what Iran describes as threats from the United States and Israel. The defense minister's comments appear to reflect Iran's broader emphasis on self-reliance and preparedness in the face of external pressures.
