IRGC Quds Force official says US would be defeated in any ground attack on Iran

Brigadier General Iraj Masjedi, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force for Coordination Affairs, stated that if the United States launches a ground attack against Iran, it will certainly be defeated by the country's powerful Armed Forces. He made these remarks during a recent address, according to Mehr News.

General Masjedi also discussed the capabilities of the Resistance Front, saying, "Today, the Resistance Front has evolved into a highly strong power and a significant factor in the regional and international arenas. It is not the case that it would be weakened by the intensity of war or martyrdom of certain commanders." He added that the Resistance movement, like the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a powerful and growing force, and that "Today, the Islamic Republic is stronger than in past decades, and the same is true for the Resistance movement."

Regarding the threat of a ground invasion of Iran, General Masjedi pointed to the IRGC Quds Force's readiness to confront the enemy. He warned, "If Americans attempt any such action, the Islamic Republic and the Resistance Front will powerfully enter the battlefield, and the enemy will certainly face defeat. Therefore, if they possess even a shred of sense, they will not commit such a foolish act."

The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, with US officials having previously not ruled out military options. The IRGC Quds Force is responsible for extraterritorial operations and has been a key component of Iran's regional strategy. General Masjedi's comments underscore Iran's stance that it will respond decisively to any military aggression.
