Iran's Foreign Minister Criticizes Netanyahu, Says US Senators Seek Exit

Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi posted on X on Saturday, stating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal with Arab, American, and Iranian blood on his hands. Araghchi added that to escape justice, Netanyahu has no regard for his own people either. He compared Netanyahu to a degenerate gambler desperately seeking to save himself with more US blood and treasure, and noted that even US senators want out.

Separately, Avi Gil, a retired major general in the Israeli military, has broken his silence regarding the events of October 7, 2023, once again questioning the performance of Israel's Prime Minister. According to Gil, Netanyahu was warned approximately three months prior to the attack about the potential for war and the erosion of Israel's deterrence. He stated that at certain junctures, Netanyahu prioritized political considerations and the preservation of his governing coalition over accepting agreements that could have led to the release of the hostages.

According to Mehr News, these remarks come amid ongoing tensions and criticism of Netanyahu's leadership. The report by Mehr News added that Araghchi's comments reflect Iran's stance against what it describes as US-Israeli aggression on Iran.
