Iran Adviser Says US Responsible for Israeli Actions in Lebanon

Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Iran's commander-in-chief and a former chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has stated that the United States bears responsibility for the actions of Israel in Lebanon. In a post on social media, Rezaei asserted that based on an understanding reached with the Islamic Republic, Washington must be held accountable for what he described as "aggressions and tension-creating actions of the Zionist regime in Lebanon." He further warned that in the event of any threat against Iran, the United States would be held accountable. "In the event of a threat against Iran, we will hold the Americans accountable," Rezaei added. The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, with ongoing conflicts involving Hezbollah in Lebanon. According to Mehr News, Rezaei's statement underscores Iran's stance that the US is complicit in Israeli military activities in the region.
