IRGC Spokesman Says US Patriot Missile Caused Kuwait Airport Damage

Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi, spokesman and deputy for public relations for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), addressed the destruction at Kuwait airport's passenger terminal. He stated that investigations by the IRGC indicate that the IRGC Aerospace did not fire any shots at this target. Instead, the damage was caused by an error in the American Patriot missile systems, which landed on the terminal after failing to intercept Iranian missiles. The statement was reported by Mehr News Agency.

According to Mohebi, the IRGC's research and investigation into the incident concluded that no Iranian projectiles struck the airport. The Patriot system's malfunction led to the missile hitting the terminal, causing the destruction. This incident highlights the risks associated with advanced missile defense systems and their potential for collateral damage.

The IRGC spokesman emphasized that the Iranian military did not target the Kuwait airport, and the blame lies with the US Patriot system's failure. The report by Mehr News Agency added that the IRGC's findings are based on thorough analysis and evidence.
