Iranian army spokesman says US no longer able to sustain its hegemony

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesman for the Iranian army, said on Tuesday that the United States has become a "nervous actor" in its decline and no longer has the capacity to maintain its hegemony. He made the remarks at an event hosted by the Pakistani embassy in Tehran, according to Mehr News.

Akraminia said that in its decline, the United States has further shaken its position in the international system by violating international law and fully supporting the Israeli regime. He referred to what he described as the imposed war by the "terrorist U.S. government" and the "occupying and criminal Zionist regime" against Iran, stating that the recent war demonstrated that America's priority is not the security of regional countries but protecting its own interests and those of the Israeli regime.

"Therefore, imported security will never guarantee lasting peace," Akraminia said. "Under a cost-benefit logic, U.S. military power no longer has the capacity to maintain its hegemony." He added that this vacuum presents an opportunity for wise regional countries, especially Iran and Pakistan, to work together and secure lasting regional security.

The event was hosted by the Pakistani embassy in Tehran, highlighting ongoing diplomatic engagement between Iran and Pakistan. Akraminia's comments come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing discussions about security cooperation in the region.

According to Mehr News, the spokesman's remarks reflect Iran's position that regional countries should rely on their own cooperation rather than external powers to ensure stability.
