US Congresswoman Ansari Calls for Impeachment of Defense Secretary Hegseth

In a statement posted on social media platform X, US Congresswoman Yasmine Ansari has called for the impeachment of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, citing the ongoing US military action in Iran and its consequences.

Ansari wrote, "In the past six months since Donald Trump started his illegal war in Iran, 120 children died after a US military strike hit their school, 18 American servicemembers have been killed, Americans have endured record high gas costs, and Donald Trump and his sons have profited endlessly from investing in defense tech companies that received government contracts."

She further stated, "Neither Trump nor Pete Hegseth have achieved an objective in this war. Servicemembers, children and innocent civilians have died for no reason. This war must end and Pete Hegseth must be impeached."

The remarks come amid ongoing US military operations in Iran, which have drawn criticism from various quarters. The congresswoman's call for impeachment adds to the political pressure on the Trump administration regarding its Iran policy.
