Two Palestinians wounded in settler attack in occupied West Bank

Two Palestinians were wounded on Sunday morning in an attack by Israeli settlers in the Wadi al-Shaer area of the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency.

Wafa reported that the Palestinian Red Crescent treated one of the victims for a stab wound to the thigh and the other for a head injury. No further details on the condition of the two wounded Palestinians were immediately provided.

The incident came after a series of Israeli military raids, arrests and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, Wafa said. The agency did not specify the locations of those earlier operations or the number of people detained.

Settler violence and Israeli military activity in the occupied West Bank have been recurring features of the period since the current conflict began, with Palestinian officials and human rights groups repeatedly documenting attacks on Palestinian residents and property. Israeli authorities have generally not commented on individual incidents of this kind.

According to Mehr News, citing the Palestinian Wafa news agency, the two Palestinians were wounded in the Wadi al-Shaer attack, with the Palestinian Red Crescent providing treatment for a stab wound to the thigh and a head injury.
