Thousands join pro-Palestine march in London marking third anniversary of Gaza war

Thousands of demonstrators joined the National March for Palestine in London, according to local UK media reports. The march was organised by the Palestine Coalition and held to mark the third anniversary of the war in Gaza that followed the events of October 7.

The Metropolitan Police imposed conditions on the march ahead of the event. Police estimated that between 7,000 and 10,000 demonstrators would take part. Marchers set off from the Embankment and proceeded along their route toward Whitehall.

A large number of officers were deployed to police the protest, the media reports said. The police presence was described as substantial along the march route.

The event was one of a series of demonstrations held in the UK capital in connection with the Gaza conflict. According to Mehr News, the march was organised by the Palestine Coalition and drew thousands of participants to central London.
