SaveLeader's Message on Iran-US MoU Contains Key Points for Negotiators
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei issued a message regarding the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in absentia by the Iranian and US presidents. The message contains important points that should be considered by all people and negotiators over the next 60 days.
In the message, the Leader stated: "I, in principle, had a different opinion, but due to the commitment that the honorable President, as the Chairman of the Supreme National Security Council, and other members gave me on behalf of himself and other members to protect the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front, and they stated that they would accept responsibility for it, I issued the permission." This indicates that the Leader's permission was conditional on the President and the Supreme National Security Council's commitment to safeguard the rights of the Iranian people and the Resistance Front. Given serious doubts about the Zionist regime's adherence to the ceasefire in Lebanon and non-aggression in southern Lebanon, as well as the history of broken promises by US presidents, especially Trump, the 60-day negotiations should be entered with complete distrust and close monitoring of global and regional developments, remembering that negotiations are with the "sworn enemy" of the Iranian people.
Another passage of the message refers to the desperation of America, stating: "It was the President of the United States who, out of desperation, used all kinds of levers for this." The reality shows that Trump needs this agreement more than Iran and is desperate due to domestic and foreign problems and defeats on military fronts. Trump is under pressure from electoral competition and is considered by world public opinion as an accomplice in the crimes of the Zionist regime. Inside the US, people think their country's interests are sacrificed to Israel's interests and are unhappy with rising oil prices. These issues make Trump desperate and eager to reach an agreement with Iran to get out of the crisis. In these circumstances, Iran must be prepared for any anti-Iranian action by the US after getting out of the crisis and avoid optimism and haste in reaching a final agreement.
The 60-day negotiations will be very difficult. Iran must both establish the continuation of its peaceful nuclear program and lift economic sanctions. The Zionist regime opposes any agreement that guarantees the rights of the Iranian people and will be active during these 60 days. The success of negotiations depends on Trump's performance, who is also responsible for Israel's actions. He must know that in the event of another attack on Lebanon, Iran could fail to fulfill its commitments and create a worse situation for America.
The Leader concluded: "From this moment on, we, you, the proud nation and this insignificant servant, will await the fulfillment of the stated conditions." During this waiting period, the US and Israel will try to create divisions among the Iranian people and officials through propaganda and psychological operations to influence the negotiation process. The understanding people of Iran and those with different tastes should continue supporting their soldiers in military and political arenas and neutralize the enemy's divisive goals. According to Mehr News Agency (MNA), the message was published on their website.
