The commemoration ceremony for the 40th day of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, will be held in several Iranian cities, according to Mehr News Agency.
The ceremony will be led by the current Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. The schedule is as follows: On Tuesday, August 18, from 17:00 to 19:00 local time, the ceremony will take place at the Grand Mosalla of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Tehran. On Wednesday, August 19, after evening prayers, a ceremony will be held at the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom. On Thursday, August 20, after evening prayers, concurrent with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan Asgari (AS), a ceremony will be held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.
The participation of all Iranians in these ceremonies is seen as a renewed pledge of allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and a renewed emphasis on continuing the path of the Iranian martyrs.
According to Mehr News Agency, the events are organized to honor the memory of the late Leader and to reaffirm the nation's commitment to his ideals. The report added that the ceremonies are expected to draw large crowds of mourners from across the country.
