Saudi airstrikes target telecommunications towers in Yemen's Al-Jawf province

Saudi fighter jets carried out airstrikes on telecommunications infrastructure in various parts of Yemen's Al-Jawf province, according to reports from Yemeni outlets Al-Masirah and Saba News Agency in Sana'a.

An Al-Masirah correspondent reported extensive Saudi airstrikes across different areas of Al-Jawf. The outlet said Saudi fighter jets bombed telecommunications towers in the Salbah and Rahub areas of Al-Anan District, as well as a communication tower in Al-Marashi and another in Al-Zahir. According to Al-Masirah, the targets included the Habash, Rahub, Al-Marashi and Al-Zahir telecommunications towers.

Saba News Agency in Sana'a also reported that Saudi airstrikes targeted telecommunications towers in Bart Al-Anan District and two other towers in the Al-Marashi and Al-Zahir districts of Al-Jawf. A correspondent for Al-Ahad network reported that Saudi airstrikes continued to target Yemeni infrastructure and civilians, stating that Saudi fighter jets struck communication networks and towers in several Yemeni cities.

Al-Masirah described the strikes on the telecommunications towers as an attempt by Saudi Arabia to further restrict Yemeni citizens and cut off services to them. The reports did not provide details on casualties or the extent of damage to the affected infrastructure.

The airstrikes are part of the ongoing Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen, which has targeted various regions and infrastructure across the country. The reports from Yemeni media outlets cited local journalists on the ground. According to Mehr News, which carried the report citing Al-Masirah, Saba News Agency and Al-Ahad network, the strikes focused on communication towers in Al-Jawf province.
