Houthi leader accuses Saudi Arabia of attacking Yemen on behalf of US

Abdul Malek al-Houthi, the leader of Ansarullah, delivered a televised speech on Wednesday in which he accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out attacks on Yemen on behalf of the United States. He said that Britain created the Saudi regime and assigned it a specific and undesirable role in the Islamic world, and that the Saudis are using religious issues against the Islamic Ummah. He claimed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman has admitted that the Saudi regime supported Takfiri groups and that its friends in this regard were America, Britain and Israel.

Al-Houthi stated that the Saudis are using the title “Jihad in the Way of God” to deceive the Islamic Ummah, taking actions against Palestine and in favor of America, and creating hypocrisy in the Islamic world. He said that declaring Palestinian groups as terrorists reveals the truth of the Saudi stance on the Palestinian issue. He also accused the Saudi regime of exerting pressure on Lebanese authorities to adopt a stance against Hezbollah in favor of Western states and Israel. He alleged that the Saudi regime played a role in the assassination of Emad Mughniyeh and supported attempts to assassinate the Secretary General of Hezbollah from the very beginning.

The Ansarullah leader praised the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Palestine and the region, saying its resistance against what he called Zionist arrogance is in the interest of the entire Islamic nation. He said that Zionism and its allies have found Iran to be the greatest obstacle on the path to supporting the Palestinian people and confronting the Zionist plan. He added that Iran is engaged in a great battle to confront the Zionist regime and the United States, and has made great sacrifices, including dedication to the Leader and Martyr Imam of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Al-Houthi further said that if Arab countries had done the same for the Palestinian people as the West does for the Zionist regime, the situation would be completely different today. He asserted that the planes and weapons repeatedly used to attack Yemen are American, and their use depends on US will. He claimed that Saudi Arabia is under the control of America and is attacking Yemen under US command, and that Saudi Arabia has constantly demanded America enter the war directly and fully.
