Yemeni military spokesman says Saudi Arabia has carried out 760 airstrikes

Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said on Sunday that Saudi fighter jets carried out 28 airstrikes over the previous 24 hours, according to the Al-Masirah outlet. He identified the aircraft as F-15s and Typhoons that took off from the Khamis Mushait and Taif bases.

Saree said the strikes targeted the provinces of Taiz, Al-Jawf and Ma'rib. With the latest round, he said the total number of airstrikes since what he described as the escalation of Saudi hostilities against the country and its people has reached 760.

The spokesman's statement did not provide details on casualties or damage from the reported strikes, and no independent confirmation of the figures was immediately available. The account comes from the Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman as carried by Al-Masirah, a media outlet associated with the Houthi movement that controls large parts of northern Yemen, including the capital Sanaa.

Saudi Arabia has not publicly commented on the specific figures cited by Saree. The reported strikes are part of the broader military campaign in Yemen that has continued for years, with Saudi-led coalition operations against Houthi-held areas and Houthi attacks on Saudi territory and shipping in the Red Sea region.

The provinces named by the spokesman — Taiz, Al-Jawf and Ma'rib — have seen repeated fighting over the course of the conflict. Taiz is in southwestern Yemen, Al-Jawf is in the north, and Ma'rib lies east of Sanaa; all three have been front-line areas at various points in the war.

According to Mehr News, citing Al-Masirah, the spokesman's statement focused on the number and location of the airstrikes and did not include further operational details.
