IRGC marks second anniversary of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah's killing, says Resistance path endures

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on the second anniversary of the assassination of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the former Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah, describing the path of the Resistance as eternal. The statement said that the "pure blood" of the martyred leader is fostering the elevation of honor and glory for Hezbollah and the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement.

The IRGC statement recalled that two years have passed since what it described as a "heinous terrorist act" committed by the "criminal Zionist regime" in martyring Nasrallah, whom it called the standard-bearer of liberty. It added that contrary to the enemy's expectations and evil intentions, the radiance of his blood was never extinguished but transformed into a surging fountain of might and vitality within the body of the Resistance, becoming eternal. The statement further described Nasrallah not merely as a leader but as the strategic architect of modern resistance, a strategist across both the battlefield and the diplomatic arena, and the tangible embodiment of the unbreakable bond uniting the region's resistant nations.

Separately, Iran's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Sunday marking the second anniversary of Nasrallah's assassination, once again denouncing what it called the "heinous and unforgivable crime" committed by Israeli terrorists in their attack on Lebanon and the killing of Nasrallah and his companions, including Iranian commander Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan. The ministry said that neither the passage of time nor the repetition and accumulation of crimes will cause the slightest disruption to the demand for justice and the punishment of the criminals.

The Foreign Ministry added that Iran recognizes Lebanon's important position as a country neighboring an "occupying and terrorist entity" and remains steadfast in its principled position of supporting its independence, territorial integrity, sovereignty and national unity.

According to Mehr News, the statements were issued to mark the second anniversary of the killing of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, who led Hezbollah for decades before his assassination in an Israeli attack on Lebanon.
