Pezeshkian says government will fully implement Leader's directives

President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday that his government would work at full capacity to carry out the directives of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to Mehr News. Speaking at a cabinet meeting, the president referred to the Leader's recent directive to Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, to pursue the fulfillment of the conditions set by Iranian officials for moving beyond what has been described as a "no war, no peace" situation.

Pezeshkian described the directive as carrying "a great and important message" and as outlining the country's future prospects. He stressed that the entire government would work with full capacity to realize the specified objectives and measures. He also underscored the need for executive bodies to remain prepared to deal with changing circumstances in the country, saying that all ministers, heads of executive bodies and their deputies are required to maintain full readiness while prioritizing management and cost reduction in line with existing conditions.

The president emphasized that Iran would stand firm with strength and unity against any threats, sanctions and external pressure. "Enemies must not imagine that by increasing pressure and threats, they can weaken the will of the Iranian nation and force the country to surrender," Pezeshkian stated.

According to the report, the Leader recently met with Rezaei and described the Supreme National Security Council and its Secretariat as the "crossroads of policymaking" in the country's affairs. During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized national unity, mutual trust between the people and officials, the use of constitutional capacities to help the president and executive bodies resolve problems, and the protection of national and regional security. The Leader also called for fulfilling the conditions set by Iranian officials for ending the war and bringing the current "neither war nor peace" situation to an end.

The cabinet session comes amid ongoing regional tensions and international pressure on Iran. The president's remarks appeared aimed at signaling that the government and the country's leadership are aligned on the approach to the current situation. Mehr News reported that the meeting addressed both the political direction set by the Leader and the administrative measures required of ministers and executive bodies.
