In a message released on Saturday to mark Law Enforcement Forces (Police) Week, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Chief Commander Major General Ahmad Vahidi congratulated Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Radan. Vahidi described the Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA) as a symbol of an authoritative, intelligent, and professional police force that is backed by the people and relies on a faithful and revolutionary workforce.
Vahidi stated that, contrary to the expectations and malicious intentions of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Establishment, FARAJA has succeeded in consolidating social security and tranquility across the Islamic homeland. He attributed this success to synergy with other armed forces and security institutions.
In his message, the IRGC commander commemorated the martyrs, disabled veterans, and self-sacrificed personnel of FARAJA. He specifically mentioned those who fell during what he described as the second and third wars imposed against the country by the US and Israeli regime, as well as martyrs from the eight years of the Sacred Defense, referring to the Iraqi imposed war against Iran from 1980 to 1988. Vahidi expressed reverence for their sacrifices made for elevating the country's name on the international stage.
The message was released on the occasion of Police Week, an annual commemoration in Iran. The IRGC chief's remarks highlight the role of law enforcement in maintaining domestic security and the official narrative of external threats. The statement also underscores the coordination between Iran's police force and other security bodies.
According to Mehr News, the message was issued on Saturday and included congratulations to Brigadier General Radan. The report by Mehr News added that Vahidi's comments emphasized the police force's public support and professional standing.
