Iran president orders rapid reconstruction of infrastructure hit by US attacks

During a visit to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was briefed on the status of border terminals, ports, and road, rail, sea, and air transport networks, as well as the supply, unloading, clearance, and distribution of essential goods. The Minister of Roads presented a detailed report on damage to bridges, rail lines, ports, logistics installations, and other strategic infrastructure resulting from U.S. attacks.

In response, President Pezeshkian issued orders to accelerate the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, activate alternative routes, enhance the resilience of the transport network, and facilitate the provision of services. He emphasized that expanding regional cooperation and strengthening infrastructure links with neighboring countries are strategic priorities.

The president noted that active government diplomacy has created a favorable environment for expanding transport and transit cooperation. He stated that completing and connecting rail networks with neighbors could play an effective role in boosting economic resilience, developing international transit corridors, and maximizing Iran's geopolitical capacities.

Pezeshkian stressed the need to rebuild damaged terminals and infrastructure according to the highest international standards in warehousing, logistics, cargo handling, smart management, and new technologies. According to Mehr News Agency, the president's directives aim to ensure rapid recovery and modernization of Iran's transport infrastructure.
