Pakistan PM expresses solidarity with Iran's leadership and nation

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the funeral ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in Tehran on Friday. During the ceremony, Sharif expressed solidarity with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the government, and the nation of Iran. He stated that the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei wisely, insightfully, and with foresight led the Iranian nation for decades, and his services are a valuable asset for the Islamic world.

Sharif was accompanied by a high-level delegation including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff; Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of Interior; Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly; and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party.

On the sidelines of the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, also met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The meeting focused on bilateral relations and regional issues.

According to Mehr News, the Pakistani delegation's presence at the funeral underscores the strong ties between Pakistan and Iran. The report added that the visit reflects Pakistan's support for Iran's leadership and people during this period of mourning.
