Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has delivered a special letter from Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. The letter was submitted to Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi during Naqvi's visit to Tehran.
Naqvi stated, "I am here to deliver a special letter from Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the current situation to Leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei." He added, "I believe this is an important message. I hope everything proceeds well and reaches a positive conclusion."
The visit is part of Islamabad's ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue and support an agreement between Tehran and Washington. The Pakistani interior minister arrived in Tehran on Saturday, where he also held talks with his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Mo'meni.
According to Mehr News, the letter addresses the current situation and aims to promote understanding between Iran and the United States. The development comes amid heightened tensions and US-Israeli aggression on Iran. The Pakistani delegation's efforts underscore Islamabad's role as a mediator in regional diplomacy.
