Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi is scheduled to travel to Tehran on Tuesday for talks with his Iranian counterpart, according to Iran's foreign ministry. The visit was announced by foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, who stated that al-Busaidi will meet with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during the trip.

The discussions are expected to cover a range of bilateral and regional issues. The trip is aimed at strengthening Iran-Oman cooperation and continuing the two coastal states' political consultations over the Strait of Hormuz, as well as efforts to bolster regional peace and security, Baghaei said.

The visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Iran and Oman, two countries that share strategic interests in the region. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical waterway for global oil shipments, and both nations have historically played roles in maintaining its security.

According to the report by Mehr News Agency, the Omani foreign minister's visit is part of regular consultations between the two countries. The meeting is expected to address mutual concerns and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration.

This development comes amid broader regional dynamics, where diplomatic channels remain active despite various challenges. The talks are seen as a continuation of efforts to promote stability and cooperation in the Persian Gulf region.
