Iran Army Spokesman Says New Operational Plans Underway, Air Defense Improved

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, deputy coordinator of the Iranian Army's Ideological-Political Organization, said in an interview on Friday that Iran's current air defense capabilities far surpass pre-war and wartime levels, despite what he described as repeated allegations by US President Donald Trump. He stated that Iranian air defense units have successfully downed multiple US drones in the country's airspace in recent weeks.

General Akraminia added that US military vessels have been forced to retreat to distances exceeding 500 kilometers from the Persian Gulf coasts. He reiterated that new operational plans are currently underway that will compel hostile American vessels to move even farther away. He said advanced combined and innovative military operations have been successfully rehearsed.

The general also stated that national air defense coverage across the country has been significantly strengthened compared to pre-war levels. He stressed that the insecurity witnessed today in the east of the Strait of Hormuz is a direct consequence of what he called the destructive US presence. He added that regional states and the international community must acknowledge that the US is the primary root cause of instability in the region.

According to Mehr News, General Akraminia made these remarks during an interview on Friday, emphasizing Iran's defense achievements and ongoing operational plans.
