SaveMokhber: Ceasefire Without Lebanon Is Irrelevant for Iran
In a meeting with the representative of Lebanese Hezbollah in Tehran, Mohammad Mokhber, the advisor and assistant to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized that any ceasefire with the Islamic Republic of Iran without taking Lebanon into account is irrelevant. The meeting took place on Monday evening at the Lebanese Hezbollah office in Tehran, following recent attacks by the Israeli regime against Lebanon, which Mokhber described as barbaric and carried out with full support from the United States.
Mokhber reiterated Tehran's full support for the Lebanese nation and resistance, stating, "The Islamic Republic will stand by the oppressed and resistant people of Lebanon." He honored the memory of the martyred leader of the revolution, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and all those who were martyred in the fight against global arrogance and the Zionist regime. Referring to the roots of the formation of the Axis of Resistance since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini (RA), Mokhber said, "The discussion of the Axis of Resistance is an integrated discussion, and the issue of Lebanon is not separate from the issue of Iran for us."
He further stressed, "In all the memorandums, understandings, and agreements that are being discussed, the Axis of Resistance is a serious and inseparable axis for us, and a ceasefire in Iran without the other parts is irrelevant at all." The meeting underscored Iran's firm determination to support the entire Axis of Resistance, which includes Hezbollah and other allied groups.
According to Mehr News, the meeting was held in the context of ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which has drawn strong condemnation from Iran and its allies. Mokhber's remarks signal Iran's position that any diplomatic resolution must address the security concerns of all members of the Axis of Resistance, not just Iran.
