A book titled 'The Dawn of the New World Order', based on the thoughts of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, was unveiled on Saturday evening at a conference in Baghdad. The event, titled 'The New World Order in the Thought of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei', was held at the Intisar Hall in Baghdad, according to Press TV.
Former Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi described the book as concise and substantive, 'rich in content'. He said it examines various aspects of the history of the Islamic Republic, Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist), the conditions and requirements of leadership, the Assembly of Experts, and political and social issues in Iran. Abdul Mahdi noted that parts of the book focus on the life, revolutionary background, academic activities, and social standing of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, providing information about his teachers, students, colleagues, and his relationship with society. He emphasized that the book highlights the view that people are not merely followers but play a role in guiding developments, while leaders learn from the people.
Abdul Mahdi also discussed the book's insights into the decline of the old world order based on domination and colonialism, and the emergence of a new world. He referenced Imam Khomeini's message to Mikhail Gorbachev, which demonstrated a 'forward-looking perspective' on global developments, and noted that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a major turning point. He criticized Western countries for their silence on killings and genocide in Gaza despite their slogans of democracy and human rights. He also referred to the recent war against Iran, saying that the resistance of the Iranian people and leadership had changed the equations.
Iran's Ambassador to Baghdad, Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadeq, said the book provides an opportunity to understand an important historical and intellectual experience that encompasses religious scholars, revolutions, the role of nations, and future developments. He stressed that studying such works contributes to a better understanding of political, social, and intellectual developments in the Islamic world. He added that the movement of nations is shaped by reliance on divine will and human effort.
Dr. Mohammad Akhgari, Deputy for International Affairs at the Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Works of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, explained that the book introduces the personality of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei and explains the components of the new order through his messages. He listed components of the new global power architecture, including the decline of Western liberal-democratic worldview, the decline of the United States and unipolar world, the transfer of power to Asia, and the spread of the idea of resistance. He said the world is moving toward multipolarity, and the future belongs to powers linked to their internal capabilities.
Iraqi parliamentarian Noor Adel referred to the culture of Ashura and resistance, noting that martyrdom and steadfastness lay the foundation for a broader will among nations. She highlighted the massive public turnout at the funeral ceremony for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, describing it as a manifestation of Ashura and loyalty to Imam Hussein (AS). She stressed the deep ties between the Iranian and Iraqi peoples, saying that their blood is shed together against aggression.
The book 'The Dawn of the New World Order' is prepared in three chapters to introduce the life and views of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei to an international audience. It will be available at the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair in September. The unveiling ceremony was previously held in Tehran on July 5 at the National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense. According to Mehr News Agency, the event in Baghdad was attended by senior Iraqi figures, including Sheikh Hammam Hammoudi, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.
