Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has made new appointments to six top military posts in the Iranian armed forces, according to Mehr News.

Major General Ali Abdollahi was appointed as Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari was named Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. Major General Ahmad Vahidi was appointed as the IRGC Chief Commander. Major General Mostafa Izadi was appointed as deputy commander-in-chief of the IRGC. Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei was appointed as commander of the IRGC Navy. Hossein Taeb was appointed as head of the IRGC Basij Organization.

The appointments were made by the Leader, who serves as the commander-in-chief of all Iranian armed forces. The changes affect key positions within the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Basij volunteer force, and the overall military command structure.
