The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it has struck four American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in the first phase of its retaliatory response to recent US aggression against Iran. In a statement, the IRGC said that the United States, by violating its commitments, launched attacks on several parts of Iran's southern coastal provinces. The IRGC emphasized that the warriors of Islam will not leave the violations unanswered.
The IRGC's naval and aerospace forces conducted joint missile and drone operations, destroying infrastructure and important facilities at two US bases in Kuwait—Arifjan and Ali al-Salem—and two in Bahrain—Juffair and Sheikh Isa. The attacks occurred one hour after the enemy's strikes on various parts of Iran. The IRGC warned the US military that if aggression is repeated, Iran's crushing responses will be expanded to other American bases in the region.
The IRGC described the US aggression as a hasty reaction to the massive popular turnout in neighboring Iraq during funeral processions for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The statement said that the funeral procession filled the arrogant American rulers with fear and compelled them to react hastily.
The US aircraft carried out a wide range of strikes against several southern Iranian areas, targeting civilian infrastructure and killing one person, as well as attacking a bridge in the northern province of Golestan. According to Mehr News, the IRGC's statement came in response to these attacks.
