IRGC and Basij forces hold readiness parade in Ardabil

IRGC and Basij volunteer forces held a parade in the northern Iranian city of Ardabil on Wednesday, according to a report by Mehr News. The event was described as a demonstration of readiness to counter threats posed by the United States and what the report referred to as the Zionist regime against Iran.

The parade took place in Ardabil, the capital of Ardabil Province in northwestern Iran. It involved personnel from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij, a volunteer paramilitary organization affiliated with the IRGC. The participants assembled to publicly declare their preparedness to respond to external threats.

The report did not specify the number of participants, the exact location within Ardabil, or the duration of the event. It also did not provide details on any speeches, equipment displays, or specific statements made by officials during the parade.

The event was framed in the context of ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, as well as Iran and Israel. Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that the country's military and volunteer forces are prepared to defend against any external aggression. The parade in Ardabil appears to be part of a series of similar displays held across Iran in recent months.

Mehr News, which published the report, is an Iranian news agency based in Tehran. The report did not include any additional information about the current security situation or any specific incidents that may have prompted the parade. It also did not mention whether the parade was scheduled in advance or organized in response to a particular development.

According to Mehr News, the IRGC and Basij forces in Ardabil used the parade to declare their readiness to confront threats from the US and the Zionist regime. The report provided no further details about the event or its participants.
