Iranian official calls for end to Israeli regime's impunity

Iranian Deputy Judiciary Chief for International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi has called for an end to the Israeli regime's impunity, accusing it of evading accountability by attacking international institutions. In a post on his X account on Friday, Gharibabadi criticized the regime for subjecting the UN Secretary-General to punishment instead of being held accountable for the inclusion of its entities in the UN list on conflict-related sexual violence. He described this as a dangerous pattern of evading accountability by attacking international institutions.

Gharibabadi further stated that in Gaza and Lebanon, ceasefires have not led to a cessation of violence for the occupying regime, which has continued killings, bombings, violations of sovereignty, and forced displacement. He emphasized that conflict-related sexual violence, attacks against civilians, and ceasefire violations should be pursued within the framework of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and international responsibility.

"The occupying regime's impunity must end," Gharibabadi stressed. According to Mehr News, the Iranian official's remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the region, with the Israeli regime facing international criticism over its actions in Palestinian and Lebanese territories.
