Israeli forces tighten restrictions around Ramallah, close roads and entrances

Israeli forces have tightened restrictions in and around the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, closing several roads and entrances, the Wafa news agency reported. The agency, citing local sources, said the gate at the entrance to the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, was closed and that citizens were harassed.

According to the report, Israeli forces also closed the entrances to several villages, including Aboud, Nabi Saleh, Atara, and Al-Taybeth. In addition, a military checkpoint was set up at the entrance to Yabroud and Ein Sinya.

The closures add to existing movement restrictions in the Ramallah area, affecting access to and from nearby towns and villages. Wafa said the measures were implemented by Israeli forces operating in the occupied West Bank.

The report by Wafa, carried by Mehr News, did not specify the duration of the closures or provide further details on the reasons behind the tightened restrictions. Local sources described the situation as involving the harassment of citizens at the closed entrances.
