Israeli strikes in Gaza kill at least four Palestinians, injure 11 others

Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip killed at least four Palestinians and injured 11 others, including women and children, according to an emergency services source cited in reports on the strikes. The casualties were reported as Israeli operations continued in several areas of the territory.

In one incident, artillery targeted a house east of Gaza City, injuring 11 people, among them women and children, the emergency services source said. Israeli forces also opened fire east of the al-Tuffah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City. An Israeli air strike targeted an empty apartment block in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, with no injuries reported in that attack. Israeli artillery fire was also reported east of the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza.

The reported strikes come as tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians live in tents in al-Mawasi, an area the Israeli military designated as a "safe zone" years ago. Despite that designation, deadly attacks have continued in the area, according to the report.

The accounts describe a pattern of strikes and ground fire affecting multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, from the north around Jabaliya to central areas including Bureij and the outskirts of Gaza City. Details on the identities of those killed and injured were not immediately provided in the report.
