President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran held a telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, during which he appreciated the clear and transparent communications and positions of the Serbian government and people towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also thanked Serbia for its humanitarian assistance during the Ramadan war.
Referring to recent developments and efforts to reach an understanding to end the war, President Pezeshkian stated that Tehran had always announced its readiness to negotiate. He noted that the negotiation process has continued well and will continue.
Pezeshkian stressed that Israeli aggressive policies are the cause of insecurity in the region. He said that the Israeli regime and the United States failed to achieve their goals during the war, and their aggression led to the martyrdom of 168 innocent children, the Leader, and damage to Iran's infrastructure.
According to Mehr News Agency (MNA), the conversation highlighted Iran's stance on regional security and the need for dialogue.
