Gaza's Ministry of Health reported on Monday that 16 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours. According to the ministry, the bodies of 16 Palestinians were transferred to hospitals in the enclave during this period. Among these, six were new martyrs, one died from severe injuries, and the bodies of nine martyrs were recovered from the rubble. Additionally, 16 others were injured during the same period.
Since the ceasefire was established in the Gaza Strip on October 11, the number of martyrs has reached 1,066, while the number of wounded has reached 3,445. The ministry also noted that 797 bodies have been recovered from the rubble since the ceasefire began.
The ministry further updated the overall death toll since October 7, 2023, stating that 73,090 Palestinians have been killed and 173,553 injured in the Gaza Strip. These figures include both the period before and after the ceasefire.
