In response to the strategic message of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, General Ahmad Vahidi, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), issued a strong warning against the United States. He stated, "We will never tie the destiny of this land to the promises of a child-killing enemy whose record is marked by betrayal, deception, and hostility toward the Iranian nation." Vahidi further declared, "Now that the criminal US has once again chosen the path of aggression, violation, and adventurism, we reaffirm this pledge: we will, with strength, resolve, wisdom, and power, teach it the 'unforgettable lesson' that you promised."
The IRGC chief commander also highlighted the importance of national unity and cohesion, as emphasized by the Leader. He said that the IRGC, alongside other Armed Forces, considers safeguarding national solidarity, strengthening the domestic front, protecting the social capital of the Islamic Revolution, and preventing enemy penetration into the ranks of the people and the Islamic Establishment as among its most important duties. He asserted that defensive authority will be solid and effective in the light of national unity.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, with the IRGC vowing to respond decisively to any aggression. According to Mehr News, the statement underscores Iran's commitment to defending its sovereignty and interests against perceived US-Israeli threats.
