IRGC launches retaliatory attack on US airbase in Kuwait

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force announced that it launched a combined missile and drone attack in the early hours of Wednesday on the command post and accommodation of the American commander at Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The attack was carried out simultaneously with strikes on American bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Erbil.

According to the IRGC Ground Force's Public Relations Office, the attack killed several enemy personnel. Subsequently, the drone hangar and drone deployment ramp, which were used in attacks against civilians, were set ablaze, and some of the drones were destroyed.

The IRGC stated that the attack was in retaliation for a US strike on a wedding celebration in Sirik, which the IRGC described as a blatant violation of human rights. In that incident, the American army bombed and destroyed a residential home, resulting in nearly 70 innocent people being injured, four of whom, including a child, were martyred.

The report by Mehr News Agency added that the IRGC Ground Force's Public Relations Office provided these details. The attack on Ali Al-Salem Air Base is part of a series of retaliatory actions by the IRGC against US forces in the region.
