IRGC spokesman warns attacks on Iran's energy will turn occupied lands to scorched earth

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said on [date] that any aggression against Iran's energy infrastructure will be repaired immediately by the country's scientist youth, but will turn occupied territories into scorched earth forever and displace its usurpers to the Sinai desert. Mohebbi, who is the IRGC's deputy public relations chief and spokesman, made the remarks in a post on a social media account.

In his post, Mohebbi added, "The world will see what will happen!" The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region and follows repeated warnings by Iranian officials against any military action targeting the country's nuclear or energy facilities.

Iran has consistently stated that its energy infrastructure is for peaceful purposes and that any attack on it would be met with a severe response. The IRGC spokesman's comments appear to be a direct warning to Israel, which Iran refers to as the "occupied territories" and considers an illegitimate entity.

Mohebbi's reference to the Sinai desert suggests that any displacement would affect those he termed "usurpers," a term Iranian officials often use for Israeli settlers. The statement did not provide further details on the nature of the response or the timeline.

According to Mehr News, the IRGC spokesman's remarks were made in a social media post and did not elaborate on specific measures. The report added that Mohebbi emphasized Iran's capability to quickly repair any damage to its energy infrastructure, attributing this to the country's young scientists.
