IRGC Strikes Two Tankers in Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it had struck two tankers attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime chokepoint. According to an IRGC statement, the vessels had been "deceived by the child-killing American army" into trying to transit a dangerous and unsafe route. Rescue units were immediately dispatched to evacuate the crews, the IRGC said.

The IRGC Navy reiterated its warning to shipping companies, urging them to prioritize the safety of their crews and vessels. It advised against trusting "false information from the U.S. military" and to avoid "dangerous routes." The statement emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and that "not even a single drop of oil and gas or a single packet of chemical fertiliser will be exported from the region" as long as U.S. aggression persists.

In response to what it described as maritime violations, the IRGC said it had launched punitive operations against U.S. bases. It promised further reports on the situation would follow. The incident marks a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, with the Strait of Hormuz being a vital waterway for global energy supplies.

According to Mehr News Agency (MNA), the IRGC's actions are part of a broader confrontation with U.S. forces in the region. The report by MNA added that the IRGC Navy continues to monitor the strait and will take necessary measures to enforce its closure.
