Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, a senior commander in the Iranian Army, addressed a public gathering in Tehran on Saturday, emphasizing that Iran's new governance of the Strait of Hormuz is irreversible. He stated that the Iranian Armed Forces are standing firm until the new rules are fully established.
Referring to US adventurism in the region, General Akraminia warned that any aggressor who does not take into consideration the new realities prevailing in the Strait of Hormuz would bear much greater costs than in the past. He added that the Iranian Armed Forces possess strong motivation and will in this direction.
The general also highlighted the resolve of Iranian forces to sacrifice their lives in defense of Iran and its sacred system. He noted that warriors with high morale are standing firm at missile and drone launchers, carrying out effective operations despite the enemy's multi-layered defense systems.
In other remarks, General Akraminia commended the people for their enthusiastic presence in nightly gatherings. He said the epic presence of the Iranian nation in the streets has not only raised the morale of the Armed Forces personnel but also significantly increased their sense of responsibility to defend the country until their last breath.
According to Mehr News Agency, the general's comments come amid ongoing tensions in the region over navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil shipments. Iran has previously announced new measures to tighten control over the strait, which have drawn international attention.
