Iran's Deterrence Power Has Significantly Increased: Sayyari

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Chief of Iran's Army for Coordination Affairs, stated that Iran's deterrence power has significantly increased following the 40-day war imposed by the United States. Speaking about the experiences gained from the 12-day war jointly imposed by the US and Israel, as well as the Ramadan War and the Hormuz War, Sayyari emphasized that the Armed Forces have made great efforts to address weaknesses and bolster strengths, leading to a significant enhancement in the country's deterrence capability.

In response to statements by former US President Donald Trump regarding naval and economic blockades against Iran, Sayyari dismissed them as baseless. He noted that Trump repeatedly makes claims such as Iran not having nuclear weapons, that the US has destroyed Iran's navy and air force, and that Iran's economic situation is dire, with salaries unpaid. Sayyari said, "He has no other statements other than these, and we have become accustomed to these unfounded and baseless statements."

Sayyari underlined that US officials are well aware that they cannot achieve anything against the combat power, resistance, and will of the Iranian people. He asserted that as long as the noble people of Iran remain united with government officials, no one can defeat the nation. He highlighted the people's resilience during the eight years of the Sacred Defense (the Iran-Iraq War, 1980-1988) as evidence of their unwavering support for the Islamic Establishment.

The remarks were reported by Mehr News Agency, which added that Sayyari made these comments in reaction to Trump's statements about blockades and the perceived state of Iran's military and economy.
