The Public Relations Department of the Iranian Army Force announced that its forces have once again targeted radar facilities and centers where US forces are stationed at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, using a large number of explosive drones. The statement also mentioned that the Al-Zufra Air Base, which is one of the important operational centers of the United States in the region, was also struck. This base is used for air operations, reconnaissance, surveillance, and logistical support.
The Army's Public Relations Department emphasized that the enemy's attacks on residential areas and the targeting of wedding ceremonies constitute blatant war crimes and reveal the vile nature of "American human rights." It added that the Army's response to these extensive crimes will undoubtedly be significant and widespread.
The statement comes after dozens were killed and injured when US forces attacked a wedding ceremony and a residential area in the town of Bandar-e Kuhestak in Iran's southern Hormozgan province on Wednesday evening. The attack on the wedding and residential area has been condemned by Iranian officials, who describe it as a terrorist act.
According to Mehr News Agency, the Iranian Army's drone strikes are a direct response to the US aggression on Iranian soil. The report by Mehr News Agency added that the Iranian Army is prepared to defend the country's sovereignty and will continue to respond to any further attacks.
The United States has not yet officially commented on the reported drone strikes. However, tensions between Iran and the US have been escalating in the region, with both sides conducting military operations. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, calling for restraint and a de-escalation of hostilities.
