In a message marking National Defence Industry Day, Major General Amir Hatami, commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army, congratulated the acting defence minister and highlighted the defence ministry's effective role in strengthening Iran's deterrence. He noted that the design, construction, and upgrade of a wide range of equipment and systems have contributed significantly to the country's defence capabilities, with many achievements proving their effectiveness on real battlefields during recent wars.

Hatami emphasized that the current capabilities of the armed forces, resulting from the efforts of the nation's sons in the defence industry, represent more than just equipment and systems. They symbolize trust in Iranian capability, self-sufficiency, indigenous knowledge, and the will of a nation determined to secure its own security and authority.

The army chief stressed that cooperation and synergy with the defence ministry are pillars of strengthening Iran's defence foundation. He reiterated the commitment to continue this strategic partnership to meet requirements, upgrade equipment, transfer experience, and utilize the country's scientific and industrial capacities.

Hatami also honoured the memory of five martyred defence ministers, particularly Major General Aziz Nasirzadeh, and other martyrs of the defence industry. He stated, "A nation that builds a defensive shield with the capable hands of its own children will not only not surrender, but will undoubtedly be victorious."

According to Mehr News Agency, the message underscores Iran's commitment to self-reliance in defence, which has altered the calculations of adversaries regarding the country's military capabilities.
