Iran's First Vice President Says Iranophobia Project Has Been Neutralized

Iran's First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref said the "Iranophobia" project has been neutralized, particularly in the post-war conditions, and emphasized that the government should play a new leading role in the region. He made the remarks during a meeting with a member of the Higher Council of the Cultural Revolution late on Tuesday.

Aref stated that Iran is currently engaged directly with the United States and the Zionist regime. He added that even if the recent negotiations between Iran and the United States lead to a memorandum of understanding, Iran's position vis-à-vis the United States will not change.

Pointing to the post-war condition, Aref said that as the Iranophobia project has been neutralized, Iran must fulfill its new role in the region. He also noted that European ministers tell Iranian officials that Iran's resistance against the United States put an end to their own humiliation in the face of the United States, adding that Iran was the only nation to stand up to US bullying on the international stage.
