Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan held a phone conversation on Saturday evening, during which they discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
Araghchi briefed bin Farhan on the latest diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing an escalation of tensions in the region and ending what he described as the war imposed by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran. The call comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East.
Earlier on Saturday, Araghchi also held separate phone calls with his Egyptian and Qatari counterparts, according to Iranian state media. The discussions focused on regional security and ways to reduce tensions.
The phone call between the Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers is part of ongoing diplomatic engagements following the normalization of relations between the two countries earlier this year. According to Mehr News, the conversation covered a range of issues related to bilateral ties and regional stability.
