Iran's Parliament Speaker Says Military Capability Enables Strikes Anywhere, Rules Out Surrender

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Tuesday that the country's military capabilities have reached a level that allows it to target any point it chooses with its missiles without limitations. He was speaking at a ceremony honoring veterans of Iran's Sacred Defense, according to Mehr News Agency.

Ghalibaf stated that Iran would not surrender in what he described as a hybrid confrontation involving economic, military and diplomatic pressures. "We will never surrender, and we will not shut down the country. We will respond with power, just as we have done so far, and rendered the enemy incapable in all arenas," he said.

Addressing US President Donald Trump, the parliament speaker said, "Trump is facing a historic civilization and a national and religious resistance. He must know that he cannot impose his power on the Iranian nation and Armed Forces." Ghalibaf asserted that Iran possesses "sustainable deterrence" and is capable of standing up to its adversaries.

He also said that negotiations are an arena of struggle, adding that diplomacy does not mean surrender but rather "turning the power of the battlefield into a political achievement." The remarks come amid ongoing tensions involving the United States and Israel.

According to Mehr News Agency, Ghalibaf made these comments during a ceremony commemorating veterans of the Iran-Iraq war, known in Iran as the Sacred Defense.
